The snow has landed. Sort of...

Sorry about the messy view but these are the best photos I've got of the snow falling. Most people would take picture of the snow that's landed. You don't really get that option here...

It had all melted away half hour or so after this was taken and there's been nothing since.

It's strange seeing the snowy images on the news - It's like we live in a different country!

Ah well, no moaning from dad about having to go to work in ice and snow so I suppose it's all good!

Are you all ready for Dec. 1st tomorrow? Advent calendars all lined up and good to go? I didn't think I'd bother this year and I walked into my room and there's an Eclipse (Twilight) one on my drawers. There aren't any numbers on it so I'm guessing I can open any window I like first? No offence to Robert Pattinson but I may have to start with Edwards face only for the fact that the picture is creeping me the heck out and I really don't fancy Cullen filled nightmares! To make it fair Jacob's shall be next...

Also get to start the Crafty Magpies Advent present countdown what-sit. Yay. I'm so excited! I'll post a pic tomorrow of the 'group' before I open anything as it's so pretty and the photo/tag/piece of art is just beautiful!

Brr pt.2

No more signs of that pesky snow. Shame. It wouldn't bother me quite as much if it wasn't cold enough for it here, which it most definitely is. Brr.

So, I've come up with a daft mission for myself. No more crafty stash buying after today until I've made 100 layouts and 10 'projects' (probably mini books...). Exceptions being - adhesive, page protectors and possibly an album but I don't think I'll need another one...well, I do right now, that's why my mission starts tomorrow. Gotta buy an album. One last little splurge before The Mission.
Ooh, sounds good in capitals.

Maybe I should come up with a code name for it...hmm...I'll put my thinking cap on for that one.
I wonder how long it will take me?...Shouldn't be too long. I have enough stuff (photos and supplies) to last a lifetime no doubt.
I hope I complete it. I'm going to make a giant checklist so hopefully it should encourage me. I do like me a nice checklist.

Well colour me shocked

we got snow!
Who knew the weather people could get it right. For once. Granted it was a little flurry that didn't last all that long but still, snow! Cold enough for it to still be around in a couple of places this morning too.

I thought it would be set solid but it still felt fluffy and soft.

The sky is now full of cloud, while I hope it will start again I don't want any ice please.

Should have been off to Cambridge today for another Magpie meet up but, clearly, I'm not.
I think the Fates knew how ill I'd be feeling by this time came around so fixed it that I couldn't get there so I wouldn't be too disappointed come the time.

So, this means I get to spend some extra time with this gorgeous boy.

I just wish I could get some good pics of his playing without the flash on. Maybe that can be my mission for the next year...!

In other news I found out today that the 1st is Wednesday.

Now, I'd imagine the rest of the world knew this.

However I was under the impression that it was on Tuesday.

Then this morning I worked it out to be Thursday.

I think I need to go back to sleep.

Maybe if I hibernate til the 1st at least then I'll know it's the right date...

Some snow has arrived in the country. Not here of course, but some places.

It was strange seeing all the snowy pictures on the news then looking out the window at the blue skies and sunshine. We did get frost though. It's cold enough to still be there this afternoon in the shade. Brr.

Not feeling much better today. Haven't collapsed again but haven't tried standing up much either. I find that helps...

Santa's little helper?

Yeah, not so much.
Managed to get these packed and sent off (well, packed and handed over to mum to send them off) before my body decided to give up again.
Yay.
I know this is naughty as it was supposed to be a Secret Santa but my parcel has my address on the back and my home town stamped on the front so oh well. I loved the style of wrapping with parcel paper, very effective. Thank you Stacey for the idea!

I'm going back to uploading every day again. Partly because it's almost dec. daily again and need to get into the habit. Party because my ext. drive has decided to stop working (I believe it's called the click of death...sound somewhat final) so I can't add any photos to that. I've got all my pics up to yesterday onto disc as well as the comp so hopefully it will all be ok.
It wouldn't be half as bad if I wasn't doing the year long thingy. I'm not doing it next year, far too stressful on so many levels!

Ok, that was a bit rambly, sorry about that. Need sleep.

They're actually not *too* bad, well, with a bit of creative cropping. I just don't have the timing down. I took one that would have been amazing except I was a split second out and instead of getting the sparkle all I got was the dust trails...sigh...anyhoo, here they are. Plus a neighbours bonfire the next night. I nearly died going up those stairs and missed every firework - you bet I'm taking a photo of *something*...

Do you like the new do? I do. The fringe is back and I've gone a bit darker. Not dark, just darker. You can't really tell from the photos but it's kind of a reddy sort of shade. Me likey. Hope it lasts longer that the 3 washes of the last time!
