I can't believe this years practically over! I barely remember it...I blame moving house, it did seem to take up a majority of it.
I'm not sure if I'll make it to midnight - I'm so tired! I blame my foolish attempt at shopping in the sales...still, got some lovely stuff :) Took advantage of the 'Big Frees' in Lush and picked up a free £20 moisturiser for my trouble. Skins Shangri La...mmm...vanilla...it's lovely and definitely not something I would have splashed out on for myself. Also been taking advantage of the online sales and bought some bits from A Trip Down Memory Lane (which arrived in less than 24hrs!!! I love this shop!!!)and some Purple Onion stamps will be winging there yummy way to me on Wednesday. I love receiving all these yummy things through the post...just wish I didn't have to pay for them :D There's also a couple of bits I've been eyeing up on Two Peas that I've never seen over here...hmm...I'm thinking part of my New Years resolutions should be about budgeting!
Anyhoo, if anyone reads this, Happy New Year to you and catch you all (or you singular? ;) ) in '07 :)

How long?!
I can't believe that this time next week it'll all be over! Christmas here we come! I also can't believe I havn't posted a picture of my advent calender yet...I normally have a fabric one you can add your own chocs to, but at the time it was buried somewhere in the loft so dad bought me this one. The choc isn't exactly fab, but it never was so major nostalgia going on - plus who cares when this pictures on the front?! ;)
(see how I tried to be all arty by focusing on the fairy instead? see how it didnt exactly work?! :D)
Mmm, chirstmas post is fun. All year long you dread going to get the mail as you know it's just mainly going to be junk, then week before christmas it's all the good stuff! Cards and parcels and cards with money inside....:) It's all good! Especially when they're great big parcels that contain my Hambly and Two Peas orders...
Dosn't it all look so prettyful?! Havn't a clue what I'm going to do with it yet, but it all looks rather fab just as is atm so I'm pretty much just drooling and stroking it while waiting for inspiration to strike.
Hmm...anyway, better be off, doctors later and another crop tomorrow...Nan and Granddad on Thursday...trip to London to see other Nan and Granddad this weekend...I'll be lucky if I can stand by Christmas!

Oh Christmas Tree...
Today was exhausting, crop all day long-a-long, but worth it - to a degree! I just wish I could complete more than one page! I know I have it in me, but after doing the theme page in the morning *and* sitting upright the whole time it just about does me in. Then I faff about for about an hour or so realise I'm fighting a losing battle and just come home - which is what I should have done and hour or so earlier! Come home, collapse on the sofa and sleep for a few hours. I feel awful. Why do I insist on having something that somewhat resembles a life?
*sigh*
Anyhoo...spent some more money! Stickles! Yes, I caved! And...glue dots...and...some sparkly snowflake stickers all very lovely. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get my Two Peas and Hambly orders that I placed...umm...can't remember exactly, but they shipped a week ago! It took just over a week for my last Hambly order soooo.....fingers crossed :)
Okay...need sleep now, I keep going cross eyed! Sending Christmas sparkles to anyone who may possibly check this place out (I may be going mad, but I swear the counter has jumped up 1 or 2?!...)

Finally starting to feel a lot like...
CHRISTMAS!
Fabulous really, can't wait! I was a bit worried that it would never come, you know, that bubbly, excited feeling. I think it's because we were a little late with our tree this year.
Picture me, Mum and Dad going around all the shops we could think of yesterday for a Christmas Tree that fits our new lounge. (Our last one was about 5.5ft - 6ft says the box, pfft! - and looked a bit insignificant...) So, off we trundled looking for a 7ft-er. (made particularly hard as dad's mission statement was nothing over £20, or £40 if it's really special...!)
First stop - Homebase. No trees within our budget, I however, managed to walk away with 3 sparkly turquoise reindeer decs and 2 packs of icicle garlands. How do I manage these things?...
Next stop - B&Q. I have now fallen in love with the Black Tree they have though apparently they want green. So off we go again...
Tescos! Plenty of other shopping, but no tree...sigh...I'm tired and hungry and wanna go home but one more stop to our shiny new -
The Range store! I toddled off to look at the crafty stuff while they wondered about all the trees. They found one they liked but there was only one (and 2 displays) and, of course, it was the only one without any price anywhere. Girl comes over, disappears to find the manager or whoever. She comes over and says she's actually been meaning to reduce some of the damaged and display trees so would you like the display one for £20? Err...yeah! So we got a 7ft oregon tree (which looks sooo good, kinda real!) which it turns out was originally selling for £90 for £20!!!!
I'm very impressed to be honest. I don't know how the man keeps doing it but he pulled it off. Dad goes out with a no more than £40 limit for a decent 7ft tree (and anyone who's been out tree shopping will know that's nigh on impossible) for £20. Amazing. If you lucky, and when it's decorated, I'll post some pics!
Above pic btw is the yummy sari ribbon order I received from Ribbon Mad earlier in the week. Aren't they just beautiful?! Can't wait to use them...somewhere...Ooh, I also received my order from My Lip Stuff today (you want yummy natural, bunny friendly lip balms? Check them out!) A couple for some friends for Christmas and some for meeee :D ! Pina Colada smells the yummiest at the moment...mmm....Anyhoo, Catch y'all tomorrow, off to do something productive as mum's become all cleaning frenzy and dad's busy taking tiles off in the kitchen so now I'm feeling like a right lazy sod! Toodles!

1st attempt at a photo...
No doubt it will be too big or whatever, but here we go! I think I'll attempt to upload the secret layout I did for the UKScrappers Cyber Crop the other weekend. People had no idea who created which layout and they were all voted for in secret.

I got one vote. *sob* ! Not really surprised though. My beautiful, darling doglet should have won from looks alone *however* compared to everyone elses secret parts of the layouts, they were so much more thought out and, you know, clever...! (mine, if anyones even reading this, let alone wondering!, is underneath the pic of Dobby.)
Anyway, in tribute to her this one is for you my precious little Poppet. Miss you sprog! xxx

unopened parcels
I just had a delivery man come to the door...great big parcel...and I can't open it! I'm hoping some of my stuff is in it but mum was being all secretive when she ordered so that means theres something in it I can't see and she's not in! Arrgghh!
Anyhoo...had a fun couple of days so far. FINALLY finished 2 pages that has been sitting there for well over 6 months (actually, probably nearer a year!) They have very bold backgrounds and while they were an almost scraplift the papers didn;t lend themselves to the orginal and I was totally stuck for what to do with it. So, one trip to the range, 2 packs of ribbon, some paint and glitter later and voila! Maybe I'll try to post a pic tomorrow...if I'm feeling all brave like.
In the meantime I'm trying to cover a journal with tissue paper and PVA glue. It's going...well...it's definitely going anyway! I think it'll be alright, the only problem I've encountered so far is stupid me not realising that using blue tissue paper my fingers will end up stained blue. Ahh well, all in the name of 'Art' I suppose!
